Speed up the stock Dolphin browser
Dolphin Jetpack is a browser add-on for the Dolphin Browser that adds a faster HTML5 rendering engine.
If you are unimpressed by Dolphin Browser's speeds, then Dolphin Jetpack might just change your mind. Dolphin Jetpack is an add-on that you can download that adds a faster rendering engine to Dolphin Browser. Its developers claim that Dolphin Jetpack is 10x faster than the stock Android Browser and is twice as fast as Chrome for Android.
In use, Dolphin Jetpack provided noticeable speed improvements over the stock Dolphin Browser but when compared side by side with Chrome, Chrome smoked it almost every single time. We loaded a variety of different web pages from across the web and Chrome was consistently faster, loading the page instantaneously and finishing well before Dolphin Jetpack.
It's a bit odd that Dolphin Jetpack is a separate add-on instead of being baked into the Dolphin Browser. Hopefully the next version will be quicker.
Overall, Dolphin Jetpack does significantly speed up the Dolphin Browser but Chrome is still faster and is more integrated with Google's services.
